Three + stars really, but not quite 4. I thoroughly enjoyed it though the ending strained credulity-not the love story, but the rest. Loved the intricacies and subtleties of where art meets autism, the idea that drives the novel and makes our quirky characters so right for each other. All those parts are great.
Are people who grew up with 1990s-2000s television just more accepting of plot holes that happen in movies and television but used to be more uncommon in print? That's my theory. As a movie, it worked well. As a novel, not as satisfying.
