Jason has developed to perfection a simple, spare style with, above all, an excellent character design for his cast of anthropomorphic dogs, cats, birds, occasionally rabbits, etc. Hmmm. Just look at the cover. His stories are rather understated and sad, and often full of unrequited love, violence, and rather lost souls. There are also a fair amount of monsters, but in this collection there is only a big green alien or two. The title story, Low Moon, is a parody of the film High Noon.
