Sometimes authors don't really seem to know what they are doing, but then again, other times they do. Does anyone else think that killing off characters that were just brought to life seems a bit redundant? I surely think so, as ironically this gives a sense of false hope, not "Last Hope." I did not expect the fourth cat to be who it was, and that was a definite thriller part to read. Sadly, there seemed to be a lot more death and sorrow in this book than ever before, which really made it sobering, but also mind-opening to all the different paths the living will now take. - @Siri of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
