When I was halfway through this title, I thought, wow this is turning out to be one of my favorite novels ever. The author uses vididly delightful detail. You find yourself thrown into imaginitive realms; trying to find out how you got there, just as the characters are doing the same. The characterization is execelent. I felt saddened when something bad happened to one of the characters. As if I knew them personally. One of the characters tells a sort of folk tales throughout the story and these are deep moral stories within the main story itself. As if I were a child again and being read a beautiful bedtime tale of a distant era. The plot is sort of like "The Matrix" meets "Sword Art Online". And I believe it suprisingly pre-dates both. I was hoping the book would have more of a conclusion. It felt as though near the ending the author realized this was going to be longer than one book. So I felt like somewhere in the end the author's rythm was lost. Though, that doesn't mean anything was necessairly ruined. I am definitely planning to continue reading the series.
