Things get crazy in this continuation of the story that began with Life As We Knew It and The Dead And The Gone, but it doesn’t really matter. Too many people die, too many people fall in love, and too many people have no idea what’s going on, that it doesn’t make any difference what anybody does. When it doesn’t matter which character dies, or which character gets married, or what happens when a decision is made, there’s no reason to go on. A fast read, but not a worthwhile one. The series would have been stronger if it had finished after book two and we didn’t find out what happened.
