This book has received so much acclaim and praise that to add my superlatives would seem redundant. I'll just say that I find it hard to believe I will read anything as good for quite awhile. I don't want to say much about the plot because I read it not knowing what to expect and I wouldn't want to ruin that for anyone else. Choosing to tell this story entirely in the voice of a 5-year old could have been so cringingly awful in the hands of a less-skilled author, but Donoghue doesn't make a misstep. Jack and Ma will stay with me for a long time. Drop whatever you're reading and start this.
