Good scenery and India shots. It has good music, drama and romance. The movie has its good moments, but definitely not as good as the other East Indian movies I have seen. The Story is commendable, the main characters trying to improve the lives of the village people and their quality of life. With the leading woman, teaching in the school. And the leading man, bringing electricity to the village, as well as challenging the status quo of the culture and traditions on how things are done. The movie shows the different aspects of the East Indian life, such as the caste system and other traditions. In this way, the movie is very commendable! However, having the main character working at NASA as a concept was not bad, but in reality was very dry and very boring. Perhaps, a different career would have been better for this movie. There was definitely lots of good acting! Wonderful East-Indian Cast! There was Just something lacking over-all, the way the movie was made. Perhaps, some parts of the Script were inadequate, especially the NASA scenes? Do watch the Deleted Scenes! They were quite good and some of them, I feel, should have been left in the movie. I've noticed that the main Actress, who is supposed to be a school-teacher in a small village had well-groomed, long nails. Not believable for her role. Her clothes seemed too nice, also, more for the richer class. The Caucasian Boss at NASA, was very wooden in his role and speech, very disappointing. This had devalued the dramatic, good effect of the movie. It seems that Caucasians in these movies are more an after-thought and/or poor actors. Why not demand the same quality of acting for all ethnic groups?! There is no reason why we can't have good actors throughout the movie in this day and age, even those in the secondary roles..
