Thaddeus A. Ledbetter is in In-School suspension for the rest of the year after starting an unauthorized school safety drill that caused an unbelievable amount of chaos that resulted with numerous police and fire trucks arriving at the school. He is in isolation with a teacher and this gives him plenty of time to prepare his defense. The book is similar to a case file with letters, diagrams, plenty of helpful advice on how to run the school and interspersed throughout with fun facts that try and explain why he should be released from his in-school suspension. It is a very funny story that will appeal to kids who love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Previously published under the title: The Defense of Thaddeus A. Ledbetter.
