Add a CommentThis is a very timely book since white supremacists are having a hayday again thanks to trump. I love John Lewis and admire him greatly, I have heard the author speak about him many times and wanted to know more about him. This book told about John Lewis as he was up until Robert Kennedy's assassination. How he believed so strongly in nonviolence that he could lead people into any violent situation if it would help them get the Black vote and further their situation in Jim Crow South.
I think this book brings up a lot for us to think about now that we are going through radical extremist racism again, we need him to help us but he did show us how.
