Really good SF makes one reflect on the present while imagining the future; SF this bad bespeaks ignorance of the past and present while presenting a future that already is! Truly a submediocrity of an author. Any number of dystopian novels out there are far superior, and John Brunner's Stand on Zanzibar truly has this beaten out - - author should take a trip to the privatized cities of Honduras, thanks to the multinationals, or Detroit!
