"My Dearest Friend" sheet music. Words written by Rev. H.C. Elliot and music written by Eura L. Tussing. It was published and copyright by Eura L. Tussing in 1913. Eura L. Tussing (1871-1953) spent his life in the Pickerington area. He was deeply involved in the musical part of the community for most of the first half of the 20th century. He taught in the school and directed many adult church musical programs. He was the director of a 35 member male chorus, popular between 1900 and 1910. He wrote the music for a great number of songs, mostly religious oriented. On the Sunday night before the second community homecoming (Labor Day) 1912, he directed a 70-voice choir in the introductory presentation of his oratorio "Emmanuel."
