My radar is on for more Louise Doughty fiction after, Whatever You Love.
Beautifully written,,this is a finely crafted story,
If you liked A Dubus,"The House of Sand and Fog, or Robin Black's Life Drawing, this should be on your list as well.
I enjoyed this author's writing style and her character development. I could 'see' what was happening as the author described different scenes and interactions. There were a number of interesting surprises in the book but one scene was very disturbing for me and I am very confused as to why the author went down that particular path. I would however recommend this book.
i really wanted to like this book. instead i loathed it
This is a well-constructed novel. The before/after/before/after, etc. works well.
