Lily Jane Bobbit, a mysterious 13-year-old girl, steps off the 5 o'clock bus one summer day, and two best friends, Billy Bob and Preacher, are determined to win her over and help her to achieve her dream of going to Hollywood to become a star. The two battle for her attention and as the summer months wear on, it is clear that they are on a collision course with one another that could not only destroy their friendship, but also take the tiny town with them.
