This is the first time I have felt this way about Morse. Didn't care for this episode. Seemed so disjointed.

Viciousness of murder is not wanting here. How unfitting that Inspector Morse can not stand the sight of blood and yet this always the one scene present in all us cases.

The imagery in the final scenes is extraordinarily powerful.
