One of many great books about a service person finding a saving a dog while overseas. The love Fred and Craig have for each other just pours from the pages. A truly heartwarming story. I highly recommend it.

Written by a veteran who served in Afghanistan. this is very readable and enjoyable biographical dog-man memoir. One of the best veteran/dog memoirs written in the past few years showing the importance of having something "normal" like a dog for those deployed in our military.

Incredible story of what can be accomplished when you refuse to always color inside the lines. I also wept at some of the combat scenes. Well-written and engaging.
