If you are going to read this book you should make sure you have read the other books of this plot. There are four books by Lisa Yee in four different points of view over the same period of time. I would recommend you read "Millicent Min, Girl Genius" first and then continue on to "So Totally Emily Ebers" and "Stanford Wong Flunks Big-Time". I read them in that order and the entire story made sense to me.
