One of Scott O'Dell's lesser-known classics. I loved this book in 6th grade.

A great book for any age. My first book by this author. I'll be reading more of his books!

I really enjoyed this book. It recounts historical references without being too graphic for young readers. The story is very sad and whether or not it has a happy ending is entirely up to the reader's perspective of things.
