I think this book is phenomenally written and that it has a surprise and sad ending.

After reading Jessica Warrens Between, i thought nothing could beat that book. I was wrong. I could not put Beautiful Lies down. I don't even know where to begin. Beautifully written, I did not expect all the twists and turns which added suspense to the plot. Quite a few times I caught myself in a "what just happened"moment which only pushed me to keep on reading. Captivating characters, this book will keep you on your toes and you won't believe the ending.

5/5 Highly recommend!

This was a really good read, but the ending is kind of sad. But I would still recommend it to anyone who loves the thriller genre!

Alice and Rachel are identical twins. No one can tell them apart. Even though they are physically identical, their personalities are quite different. So when Alice disappears at a local carnival, her family is not overly concerned. The twins share a unique bond and Rachel knows that something is wrong. Once they realize that Alice has truly been abducted, Rachel uses their psychic connection to find the clues to help find her sister. Part mystery, part thriller with a few surprising twists this will keep the pages turning to the very end. KH

I only recommend this book to those who are looking to read a really depressing story. The story was amazing, and I wasn't able to put it down - until i read the end. This is just a warning for sensitive people: its a depressing story (I was crying at the end, no joke!)!!!!

This book was gripping from page one all the way to the epilogue. In fact, I had to read the epilogue twice! 18 year old twin sisters, Rachel and Alice, are identical in every way. The only way their family and friends tell them apart is by Alice's darker makeup and their different temperaments. The two girls but have a special connection, so much so that they can trade places if they choose. I was fascinated and impressed by how the author treated this topic, and I would recommend it to any teens or adults looking for a good read!
