For ages 3-5. Say the word “fairies” and it conjures up images of little winged beings made of gossamer and light. Well, you haven’t met ‘The Flim-Flam Fairies’. Be prepared for the crazy antics of the Fart Fairy and the Snot Fairy, as well as a few other less-than-enchanting fairies as they persuade their way into and out of children’s lives in attempts to take over the Tooth Fairy’s under-the-pillow enterprise.

This book is the story of all the nasty fairies who would like you to put things under your pillow--as opposed to the nice tooth fairy. There are fairies of belly button lint, ear wax, dirty underwear, toe nail clippings, snot, farts, throw up and poop. Each one vies for your attention in hopes you will leave something nasty under your pillow.

The illustrations were colorful and imaginative, but over the top in grossness factor. As a fan of Captain Underpants, I have got to say this book took potty talk and nastiness to a whole new level. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars, but I couldn't give it 4. There is no story line or plot. This book is simply One page of gross out after another.

This book is advertized for ages 5 and up. I would save it for slightly older children such as at least seven or up or children who are old enough to know better than to dig a Q-tip in their ears looking for treasure or to leave nasty nasty surprises under their pillows.
