Could be made into a good movie script.

An interesting portrait of 1950s America during the Cold War and the intrigue in the lives of a liberal journalist and her husband who is the editor of a literary magazine. What is betrayal? Feldman does not push modern sensibilities onto the characters and paints a believable picture of the times.

This was a good read. May start a little slow but it'll hook you about a quarter of the way in and then you'll want to read the rest in one sitting. Good for readers who would like a change from syrupy love stories.

A good read, especially if you like historically-based novels. This one is set in Joseph McCarthy's Cold War Red Scare era. It's basically a story of betrayal between a wife and a husband, thus the witting and the unwitting. The terms were used by the CIA to distinguish between the willing and unwilling, who were unknowing. However, I would've loved to have spend more time getting to know the main characters. A lot of it is explored in the past tense.
