A pampered wife leaves the protective world of a society life and being totally supported by her husband. Her hand is forced when her husband announces the marriage no longer works. She goes to Seattle and works in a small bakery. She finds that bread making gives her a sense of purpose. She basically discovers who she is. I am familiar with Seattle so loved the descriptions of areas such as the Pike Street Market. I like the evocative language surrounding the scenes of baking. You can almost smell the bread. Plus there is practical information for the baker. I marked it down a bit because the love interest is fairly predictable. I found the development of the love relationship weak as the novel wraps up quickly at the end.
