A fantastic entry into the Discworld series, hilarious if a little slow at about the 60% mark.

If you haven't read any of the Discworld books, I'd recommend starting with "Guards! Guards!," which is the first book about the City Watch.

While I've greatly enjoyed most of the Pratchett novels I've read, this one is my favorite. I laughed out loud at Nobby's adventures posing as a woman; as he and his fellow officers try to prevent a war. This is a great book!

Another great addition to the Disc World saga.

On the very brink of war sports can sometimes be the best way to get factions to agree to something.

Vimes's grin was as funny as the one that moves very fast towards drowning men. And has a fin on top.
