Wow this cookbook looks amazing!!! The photos are stunning but I really don't have the time or energy to make one recipe in this book. Good luck to whomever gives it a try :)

A book for serious vegans. I clearly need a vegetarian cookbook and was fooled by the subtitle. There was one recipe that contained ingredients I would normally cook with. I am not ready to be meatless, cheeseless, eggless and to have to buy exotic ingredients.

I agree with the other posters here. The recipes are perhaps a bit too fancy for everyday cooking - in fact, there's NO way I would have the time to make something like this on a week night. A fancy dinner party might be more fitting, but even so, the recipes require quite a few hard-to-find items, and the techniques used to prepare them are a bit advanced.

If you are trying to impress someone with fancy vegan food, this book could help. However, the recipes call for a lot of packaged food which makes the meals pricey. Not worth it for a regular home cook.

Chef Tal Ronnen is a culinary genious, but these recipes can be a little tedious to make. Well worth it though! You don't have to be a master chef to make quality recipes, just the time to do so. You'll definately learn a thing or two about vegan cuisine.

I think that on a list of where to get started being vegan this hould be firther down. There is a great del of prep work required for half of the recipes. THey are worth it though. This is more of an intermediate cookbook.

You have to give this book a chance!!! As a die hard carnivore myself, I was hugely skeptical at first. This is not a cookbook of sprouts and tofu burgers, but of mouth-watering, hearty meals that keep the protein at the center of your plate. Even if you don’t make any of the recipes from this book, there are some really unusual, interesting concepts and ideas that will get you thinking about food and flavor combinations in a whole new way.
