"Estes Park, Colorado, is a place of serenity. But it wasn't always so serene. Shortly after the Civil War, Nathan Kendall and his wife were murdered there, leaving behind a young son. The crime was never solved. Now historian Scarlet Barlow is working at a small museum attached to a B and B, the same building where that murder occurred. She recently came to Colorado, reeling after her divorce from FBI agent Diego McCullough. Diego--who's just been asked to join the Krewe of Hunters, a unit dealing with "unusual" situations-- when Scarlet unwittingly takes pictures of people who've been murdered--just like the Kendalls a hundred and fifty years before--the police look at her with suspicion. Then the museum's statues of historic people, including Nathan Kendall, begin to talk to her, and she knows it's time to call her ex-husband. Diego heads to Estes Park, determined to solve the bizarre case that threatens Scarlet's life--and to reunite with the woman he never stopped loving"--Dust jacket flap.

Even though I love Heather Graham's books, I found this one very slow and not as gripping as her usual. it was more a romance than anything else.

This is another great Krewe of Hunters book. This one is set near Estes Park, Colorado near the Stanley Hotel of Stephen King's "The Shining" fame. Sprinkled with ghosts murdered 150 years ago, to newly murdered victims, this story is filled with love stories of both the living and the ghosts of the past and present, without taking away from the serial killer that almost seems to reach out from the Civil War. I did not figure out who the killer was. My suspects all were cleared one by one. It is always a joy to read stories by Heather Graham.

This is only the second book I've read of Heather Graham's. I'm not a fan of ghosts but thought I would give it a try and it was actually not a bad read. It was an easy book to read and will probably read another.

I have been reading Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters since the first book. This book is another awesome book from this author. It kept mine interest from beginning to the end. If you have been following this series, you will not be disappointed with this book. Great book by an awesome author. Can't wait for the next to come out.

Alibi of course. He's always been a cheating idiot, so between his habits and my 'sleeping pills', I knew I'd have my nights free.
