This novel was one of the best summer reads I have read this year, and trust me there were many. It honestly reminded me a lot of hit television show “Glee”. It reminded me of how you shouldn’t judge a person by the way they look on the outside. This novel is pretty much based on the life of Lauren, a teen who just moved to her new school and completely transformed herself. As soon as she moved to her new school she noticed the change in the way she was being treated. From being a geek, she was now one of the popular kids. As soon as summer break came along she was so happy to break up with her jock boyfriend and go back to the life she had before moving at her usual summer camp where she would get back together with her camp boyfriend, Seth and be valued for her brain. But that was before Matt, her jock boyfriend unveils saddening news, making her postpone their break up. When Matt also exclaims that he would be coming to camp with her, her whole world comes breaking down. The question now is, Matt or Seth? This novel is the best summer read ever as it brings summer camp to a whole new level. I would rate it a 10/10 as it brings the best amount of emotions while you read. So don’t stand by judging this book by its cover and go read it because you never know what magic happens behind a cover until you see it.
