Told from the point of view of a young Pakistani in NY, this book provides lots to think about on the topic of race, alienation and U.S. foreign policy, within a very personal story. Brilliant on audio. Mohsin Hamid is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

Something about the tone, the structure, and the foreboding mood set by the protagonist's "first person" narrative that was reminescent of Poe's "Cask of the Amontillado".
Excellently suspenseful.
