The book has a continuity error with The Clone Wars TV series, but the Legends timeline has a lot of those errors... The book surprised me by focusing mostly on the campaign to defend Praesitlyn. There was lots of intense military terminology and ideologies, and if the characters weren't fighting a battle, they were planning one. The authors certainly pulled it off, applying all the military ideas and vocab to the science fiction battles.
Some of the characters weren't too likable at the beginning, but by the end they redeemed themselves. But the best part was that there wasn't any bad words.
