Dante Sheldon, a journalist from CA, goes to Detroit to avenge his brother Russell's murder. Russell was gunned down in his store for refusing to pay thugs protection money. The thugs were getting away with it because they were paying members of the Detroit PD off. While in Detroit, Dante meets and falls in love with Beverly, who happens to be the hitman's girlfriend, which at the time he is unaware of. Dante wants to kill the hitman and the man who ordered Russell's murder, but finds that the FBI are on the case, so he backs down. In the end, the right people get what they had coming to them.
