While not as good as Doctor Who stories, it's still a decent read. The biggest pull of this novel is the appearance of the Dalek Time Controller. This is the DTC's first meeting with the Doctor from its perspective. The Time Controller will/has also appeared in several Audios from Big Finish: Patient Zero (6th Doctor), Lucie Miller/To The Death, Dark Eyes 1, 2, 4 (all 8th Doctor).

Worlds in which the populace believes the Daleks are nice, a force for good? This is the bizzareness that the Doctor is thrust into, after following a cube. Distortions in space-time, meddling in timelines, it is all a crazy romp in the Doctor Who universe as the Doctor saves three children from their wrecked ship.
