This way of eating really works and I had a hard time with cheese. Once I stated making my own "cheesy sauce" and getting ride of cow's milk, oil, butter and all animal products my cholesterol and weight came down quickly. Delicious way of eating and now my husband is on board.

I had never heard of this diet. It is plant-based. No meat, no dairy, no eggs, lots of fruits and vegs. I was wondering if there was a vegetarian based diet out there - this is actually vegan. I need something to lower my cholesterol. I'm not a big meat eater, giving up the dairy will be harder for me but will give it a try and see if it works for me. I like the fact that you don't have to count calories or eat certain foods in specific amounts.

E2 Diet is well written. I was challenged by Rip's direction in healthy lifestyle change, appreciated the medical studies mentioned (which re-enforced his views), enjoyed his antics and humor woven throughout and really liked his work-out plans, which included pictures and did not need a gym membership. A fun read for anyone who desires a healthy lifestyle change.

Interesting anecdotes about life in a firehall. The diet is healthy, no question. It is based on medical research. Rip is an accomplished triathelete, one of the ten fittest Texans, so it is great to learn from the best. He holds some records in swimming. The recipes are not very complicated, although there is one calling for raw beets. I'll never do that one due to the staining effect of beats. Otherwise, there will sure to be some recipes you like. This book shows that you can be a strong man and eat a plant-based diet. If you want to reverse high cholesterol and minor dietary modifications haven't worked for you, this book will show you how.

Excellent book and a very healthy diet! I have been using the techniques described in the book and in just under 28 days, I lost 17 pounds. I feel better and I may just become a vegan for life. There are many clips discussing this diet on YouTube as well that are worth watching. I definitely recommend this book.
