After reading "Staring at the Sun", Yalom's masterful description of how he helps patients overcome their fear of death, I expected to be similarly thrilled by his book, "Lying on the Couch". But I was disappointed; long psychoanalytic interpretations proved difficult to pay attention to, and the storyline was only mildly suspenseful.

the plot is a bit predictable with good winning in the end. it gives an informative view of therapists and their actions and thoughts. well worth reading
