Really liked this book. Will definitely read more by this author. Enjoyed all the characters and her style of writing very much.

The Penguin Putnam blurb is distorted and inaccurate. Don't these people even read the books they are writing blurbs for? And I don't know what a woman sitting in a bathtub has to do with the story (everyone took showers!). That said, I do enjoy Wendy Wax's writing. Her descriptions of people are well done and show distinct individual characters. Everyone has faults, everyone has something to hide, everyone is doing the best she/he can, and some are quite brave and heroic. There are definitely some surprises throughout.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It could be described as a good "summer read", but with the weather we're having this winter, it was a great book to curl up with, along with some hot chocolate.

Wendy Wax skewers suburbia life in this book; if you are a stay at home mom, this will be super painful to read because the author highlights the very ugly side of the life. A person is a writer because s/he has something to say and in this case Wax shouts it loud and clear. On the other hand, she also makes fun of a "career" gal who finds herself unemployed and pregnant at 41 trying to get her life back together. There are a couple of nice twists and turns in this novel.
