"Marking the 50th anniversary of Sylvia Plath's death, this brilliant biography captures a moment in time - the month she spent in New York City in June of 1953 as a Guest Editor for Mademoiselle's prestigious annual College issue." Written in a somewhat juvenile style--after I read for the 3rd time that "Sylvia adored...." I was annoyed. Some facts are unsupported by footnotes or even notes. Still, there are fine concrete details about a poet-heroine whom I suspected I wouldn't have liked in real life.
