Labyrinth of Evil is a very enjoyable read from the Star Wars: Legends series. Does a very good job of plausibly setting up the events of Episode III. The story also lends background to General Grievous, & makes him not only more of an enemy to be both feared--as opposed to being a bit of a joke--as well as somewhat of a sympathetic character. Finally, this work also does an excellent job of showcasing the complex dynamics of Anakin's relationship with Obi-Wan; the humor, the brilliance of their working relationship, the bond they'd forged over the years, & the conflict bubbling (mostly) just beneath the surface. Very worthwhile read!

The ending of this book was written really well, so I could almost imagine all the actual events happening. It seems silly that Grievous couldn't figure out that Palpatine and Sidious were the same person.... The plot seemed to change halfway through the book from being about Nute Gunray's chair, to trying to protect Coruscant. It was cool though how it lead right into Episode 3. It was a little gory in some parts.

A serviceable check in with all the major characters from the Prequels leading just up to the beginning of Revenge of the Sith, but decidedly hampered by the fact that the author was not allowed to "reveal" that Palpatine is Darth Sidious.

On the whole, I would have been better served re-watching Genndy Tarkovsky's excellent Clone Wars cartoons...

GREAT BOOK! I would absolutely love to see George Lucas turn this one into a movie. Packed with action and adventure, this is just like episodes 1-6.
