I was actually sort of sad when I started reading this last book in the phantom stallion series. The series was so wonderful I was sad to see it end. But Terri Farley has written yet another wonderful book in the series. The only thing that i didn't care for was Darby. I didn't like her, to say the least. The next series is about her, which I didn't care for either. I gave up reading the second series after the second book. But the rest of Run Away home was great. I am sad to see the series about Sam come to an end. :( It was still a wonderful and enjoyable read. If you have read this book, can you answer me one question. Do you think that Sam and Jake ever fall in love? I mean didn't it kinda seem like they liked each other the whole series?

This book is a worthy finish to the Phantom Stallion Series. It shows Sam, Jake, and Jen all stepping into a new world of almost adulthood, and introduces Darby, the young horse loving girl. This is one of my all time favorites.
