A brilliant entry into an engrossing series full of wonderful wizardry and mystery. Fool Moon begins like many private eye novels, a beautiful woman with a problem, but then quickly bucks that trend and dives straight into the weird.

A must read for anyone with a taste for fantasy and addictive adventure mystery a la Arthur Conan-Doyle.

In the audio book, Jim Butcher's work is brought to life by the wonderful talent of James Marsters, who's famous for his role as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

As a narrator, James Marsters supplies all the emotion and brooding you remember from his Buffy days, and his performance makes the Dresden Files quite digestible. I read the first book in the series and dipped my toe in the audio book experience with book two. I listen whenever I can, often when I can't sit down to read, and feel like I'm spending my time wisely, rather than sinking hours into reading YA fiction.

Sexual Content: Not a gratuitous amount and no sex scenes, but like any modern noir there are a few racier moments scattered about.

Violence: Typical grisly crime scene stuff, nothing too horrible however.
