this is a fun murder mystery which only gains from Al Roker's reading. It is a typical mystery in that it has clues, red herrings, and even an homage to the detective gathering characters around a table for a final reveal.

There's even a throw-a-way allusion to a mystery book written by Roker's co-author, Dick Lochte (that book is called Sleeping Dog, described but not named in the text).

Not deep literature, but a worth one's time entertainment.
