I loved this series when it started. The first two books were great. I loved the idea of Immortals. I loved Damen and Ever. But ever since Shadowland - I am hanging in but it's getting harder and harder to read each book with there being no resolution to the storyline. I can't stand Haven, I even like Roman better then her. she's sooo annoying.

I have to say that the narrator did a fantastic job as usual. Everybody has a different voice and she gets the infliction, emotion and tone down perfectly for each one.

When I started this series with the first book, I had high hopes. By the time I finished the third book, I felt like hitting my head against the wall over Ever's stupid annoying mistakes. I had hoped to find some resolution in this book, but we get nowhere.

Haven is an immature brat throughout this book and is grating. She doesn’t appreciated what Ever sacrificed for her at all. Many times while reading it I wanted to straggle her. How Ever can even consider that selfish brat a friend is beyond me. Ever can’t seem to get anything right to save her life, though not for lack of trying. She is still young but she never listens to anyone else’s advice certain that she alone knows how to handle it. That’s where all her problems come in. She is no closer to breaking the curse for Damon. Zero plot advancement there. I mean how many times is she gonna lie and hide things from Damon before she gets that it only makes things worse and that she needs to trust Him, like soul mates are suppose to.

I despise Roman and hated the storyline here with Ever accidentally making the mistake of bonding herself to him (will she EVER learn?) though in the end I did feel a little bad for him and just how close it came to her finally getting the antidote until Jude showed up.

The pacing throughout this book was off and the story was jumpy, but better then the last book.

Although I would like to say that I am finished with this series, sadly I cannot finish it until the end because I must know what happens in the end.. that's just the type of person I am. This story was good as far as stories go but I'm disappointed that the plot didn’t really advance much at all.
