I loved this book, very emotional and enduring characters. A great read for the Christmas Season.

Predictable story. A little creepy how Brian seems to consider Janey the only female in his life. And he wants to be her pal and not really take responsibility as her guardian. Poor 8-year-old Janey is more mature than Brian.
