Romantic, heart warming and optimistic. I honestly could not ask for more. After all who doesn't want to fall in love with their best friend and find out that she's in love with you too? The quirk about the story that wasn't lost on me and that I'm sure was intentional on the authors part, a lesson to not judge people by their lables is that Mel's parents who were liberals were the homophobes while Dev's mother who was conservative ended up being the supportive understanding parent. I loved that part.
