A good conclusion to the story but also confusing. I guess I didn't know enough of the mythology of faeries, etc., as I thought.

I liked the first book in this series better, although this one was not that bad. I liked Stiefvater's use of the Leanan Sidhe folklore. The mythology and the ideas in this book were good, but I found it too slow at times. In this book, Deirdre becomes more pathetic than in Lament and I find her a bit tiring. I enjoyed the romance between Nuala and James.
As a side-note,I love the title of this book and Lament, and how they relate to the musical content.

Ok, I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed James' POV more than Dee's but I was so frustrated and heartbroken how their relationship has gone down. I felt like shaking them and telling them to just spit it out whatever it is they're feeling. It's true though, Dee's attitude was getting a little annoying and she did need a little putting-down by James but still so much happened in the background for her so I'm not sure what to feel about her...and SPOILER ALERT!!!!! what the heck? If Paul's presence by the fire was required to bring back Nuala then why did we need James? Paul seemed a bit of deus ex machina so that we could have both Dee and Nuala at the end. *the hero can't save both girls...make that one other guy save one of them with a reason that makes no sense * like what?

I loved this book! I was sad that it wasn't a continuation of the Luke/Dee story, but I liked hearing more about James. I hope that there is another book, just to let readers know what happens next!

While the overall storyline about the conflict between humans and faeries is interesting, the book and its storytelling style doesn't really hold me.

Similar in theme to Holly Black's faerie triology and just as good. James Morgan is so smart it hurts.

My favorite book by Maggie Stiefvater, definitely the best out of the two. I couldn't put it down until I had finished reading it!
All in all, I enjoyed both books :)

better than the first, but still not to that four star rating yet. good book, characters could have been developed a bit more but not too shabby.
