Delish! I want more of this author's chocolate books. Who knew there was so much to learn about chocolate? I found the plot a bit weird with the thievery bits, but it does make for a fun romance. Warning: Be prepared never to look at a certain type of candy bar as "chocolate" again.

What I thought looked like a light summer read turned out to be a book disguised as a Harlequin romance. Had to stop reading before i even got half way through. The angst between the romantic characters was just ridiculous. Unless you like Harlequin romances, don't waste your time.

What a fun, sumptuous book. Perfectly described an American's experience in Paris and deliciously recounted the way chocolate looks, feels, and tastes. Keep high quality chocolate nearby because you will crave it as you read.

The heroine, Cade, was determined and experienced at her job, which I appreciated. And the hero, Sylvain. Man oh man. He is, at all times, strategic, vulnerable, sweet, and strong. I really liked that Sylvain was the dreamer and has a history of falling hard for women who use him. It made him cautious but courageous as he kept fighting for him and Cade to work.

My only suggestion would be that the reader has to be willing to suspend their disbelief to accept that Cade breaks into Sylvain's workshop to steal his secrets and that he likes this rather than is upset. If a reader can't accept this part of the plot, then I think starting with the next book in the series, The Chocolate Kiss, would probably be more to that reader's tastes. However, I was amused by the the scenes of Cade stealing into Sylvain's workshop and enjoying the sights and smells of the chocolate openly. I loved how this was a metaphor for her appreciation for Sylvain as a man and an artist and Sylvain took pleasure in this.

What a wonderful book. Can't wait to read the others in the series!

There were a lot of things that should have made this a fun, good book - set in Paris, about chocolate, but I found the absurdity of the storyline challenging. Obviously, this is a novel and meant to be a light-hearted read, but the implausibility of a billionaire chocolate heiress repeatedly breaking into an artisan chocolatier's shop was hard to get past. There's a difference between funny and silly, and for me, this book definitely falls under the silly category.
