This movie is lovely! It is a visually appealing movie and a wonderful job by cast and crew recapturing and bringing to life the story of Beauty and the Beast as we know it. It was better than I thought. The acting was really good. The actor, Luke Evans who plays Gaston did a wonderful job! Very entertaining! Right after I watched this movie, I wanted to watch it again. I would definitely own a copy of this for my movie collection and I highly recommend to watch this with family or on your own even if you're an adult.

Very average. Didn't like it. If it wasn't for the fabulous animation, I wouldn't have finished watching.

I loved the original animated film but I perhaps love this one even more. It was stunningly beautiful to watch. Emma Watson was fantastic as Belle. I found it magical and I never wanted it to end. How nice that I now have two Beauty and the Beast movies to love. A lovely film.

This remake did not capture the charm of the original animation. It delivered a Lumiere that lacked effervescence and a Beast too camp during his courting to be believable as a pairing to the fair maiden Belle. Sorely lacking in magic, making it worth a Sunday afternoon on the DVD rather than a Saturday night on the silver screen.

Soulless and distressing, with lots of uncanny valley animations and bland facial expressions (and a snobby snarky look from Belle that makes her seem sarcastic and uninterested). The songs lack the heart of the original; the servants are manipulative jailkeepers willing to throw Belle into lockdown to keep her in the castle; the Beast is not an agent in his own story--he doesn't show her to her room, he doesn't invite her to dinner, he doesn't carefully consider what sort of gift she would like; the town doesn't even seem to LIKE Gaston since LeFou has to bribe them to sing; the dress is boring; why is the enchantress still here; the camera angles are flat and unimaginative for a fantasy film, being mostly long shots; Beast's magical book is like the most unnecessary thing ever; and "THE PLAGUE."

I fell in love with this movie the first time I watched it and have rewatched it several times. The visuals are stunning, and the CGI is outstanding in this movie! The sets and costumes are very well detailed, and the cast is brilliant. It’s great that Disney kept the original songs from the 1991 movie and reimagined them in a way to fit with the new things they added such as a new trait in a character’s personality or their appearance. The new songs are as equally beautiful as the originals, and the actors and actresses perform them very well. However, I wished that they had reduced the amount of autotune on Emma Watson’s voice as she sounds a bit robotic here and there. It was also great that Disney answered questions people had from the 1991 film in the storyline as we get to better understand the characters and their motives (eg. who is Belle’s mother?). The blu-ray bonuses are fantastic too as we get to see what went on behind the cameras and offset as well as deleted scenes and the incredible people who made the film possible. 5/5 stars.

This is a fantastic fairytale. I like it very much. It is about a beautiful girl who lives in a village  with her grandfather and a beast who used to be a prince. The prince once did not understand love and he was selfish and really only cared about himself, so he was turned into an ugly but strong beast. The girl is really intelligent and has a close relationship with her grandfather. The girl went into the beast's castle by mistake, the beast was really angry and he wanted the girl's company. So they stayed together for some days and the girl found out the beast is actually intelligent and they fell in love. I love this fairytale very much and I suppose it is worth 5 stars.

I couldn't honestly understand what the excitement for this movie is. If you close your eyes it is the EXACT same movie as the cartoon - pretty much word for word, sound effect for sound effect. I actually found the characters more engaging in the original cartoon and the CGI (especially for the beast's face) just came across as campy.
