"Seventeen-year-old Violet has always been expected to sit back and let the boys do all the saving. It's the code her father, a member of the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, raised her to live by. Yet when her dad is killed carrying out Terror business, Violet knows it's up to her to do the saving. To protect herself, and her vulnerable younger brother, she needs to cut all ties with the club—including Chevy, the boy she's known and loved her whole life. But when a rival club comes after Violet, exposing old secrets and making new threats, she's forced to question what she thought she knew about her father, the Reign of Terror and what she thinks she wants. Which means reevaluating everything: love, family, friends...and forgiveness. Caught in the crosshairs between loyalty and freedom, Violet must decide whether old friends can be trusted—and if she's strong enough to be the one person to save them all."-- Amazon.com

My favorite. Favorite, favorite, FAVORITE. The third installment (and conclusion, I think) of the Thunder Road series was the story of Violet and Chevy, the most dynamic and changing characters in the series (to me, at least!). The impending gang war between the motorcycle clubs served as a high-stakes backdrop to their relationship, and I think McGarry has never written a better book. There was action, mystery, suspense, all wrapped into a series finale that couldn't have made me happier. I think she did a great job with the characters, with the tie-ins to the previous books (as well as the previous series) and the twists and turns that she let loose in this novel were unprecedented and excellently timed. Well done.

Violet has never liked playing damsel in distress, never liked to just sit back and let the men handle things. When a rival club comes after her, it's no different. She decides it's times for the war between these two club to end and she's doing it on her own terms.
I loved this book so much that I finished it in one day because I couldn't stop reading it! Violet is such a strong female lead that isn't seen in a lot of books. I love this series because each book it based off two characters that are all connected to the Terror and you get to see every character in each book even if it isn't their book. Violet and Chevy have been in all the books before so it's nice to really get to understand who they are since they played big roles in the other two books. I wish Emily would have made an appearance in this novel though. Rating 5 out of 5 stars, definitely recommend this series to everyone.
