A story of a mother-fluffer of a little girl - who gets trapped in Fairyland for over 30 years, because of her inability to figure out the riddles to get herself home. Spending 30 years in this fantasy land can do things to an innocent young girl, this is her story. And her story - is so much fluffing fun. This comic is dark humor at it's best. It's fun to read, looks like it's a children's book for a second or two, but contains a lot of gore and violence. This is a fun read and I recommend it to anyone with a dark, sarcastic sense of humor, you'll really enjoy it.

This graphic novel from Skottie Young was a joyous surprise! I had no idea what to expect and I would recommend it to anyone that likes a raunchy laugh! It's bright and quirky and fun and bloody and hilarious and gross. Truly excellent!

If you enjoyed "Rat Queens", you will enjoy this as well. Cartoon cursing, rather excessive and graphic cartoon violence, what's there not to like?! Be warned, though the illustrations look cute and friendly enough, this is definitely not geared toward the younger age range.

"I Hate Fairyland" is a gristly, unique, dark, delightful take on a little girl going to a fairyland--and getting stuck there. Young does a wonderful job telling a story and creating a world full of wit, sarcasm, and just enough bloodshed to keep you turning the page. The illustrations are also phenomenal and bring the characters and setting to life (at least until Gretchen kills them). The intended audience does seem to be adults, although the only reason for that is the cartoon-ish, albeit excessive, violence. Really, it does feel like you are reading a cartoon for adults. I cannot wait for the second volume to come out.

Just delightful! Colorful, funny, and irreverent! I can't wait for the next volume! Warning: Despite the cute, bright cover, this one is pretty graphically violent.

So wonderfully over the top and funny. Skottie Young hit a home run with this one. Our hero is a girl stuck in fairyland for 20 years trying to find a magic key to get home. Even though she still looks the same age, the years have not been good to her. Young's art style lends itself perfectly to this magnificent blend of over the top fairy landscapes and mass carnage.
