This story was based on before the Lambert Family came into the picture it was a girl trying to connect with her mother after death but it turns out she thought she had contacted her mother but actually she awokened something evil. An evil entity that nees to be put in its place for good. Excellent film and very scary.

Insidious chapter 3, I give this movie a 3 out of 5. I give this movie a 3 out of five because as the other 2 movies feel together like a puzzle this one didn’t go with the storyline. I would rather watch the other insidious movies before this but if I had to watch it I would. The one thing I did like the movie was the actual demon, I found it scary yet also weird. Why was the man all wet shouldn't he be dry, because he “can't breathe”? Maybe it was something I just didn't understand about the movie, but although the movie did have confusing parts it did I good heartwarming parts that I appreciated. The movie I found didn't scare me but made me shout at the tv way too many times, there were just some parts where it was like don't go there, or why would you do that. But isn't that every horror movie. The sound effects weren't that good either it wasn't there I felt it felt too cheesy. This is a good movie if you don't really want to be scared and just have a good laugh even though it is not supposed to be a comedy I did find some parts funny.

A prequel to the first two instalments of the Insidious franchise, this haunted house turkey appears to have been written while it was being filmed for all the sense it makes. Plenty of cheap jolts of the “BOO!” variety which startle without actually scaring—not that any of those tepid performances manage to convey fright—combine with cheap special effects (oooh…fog machine! ooooh….seance!) and shock make-up to deliver a paint-by-number ghost story that becomes tediously predictable after the bogeymen run out of novel ways to jump at the camera lens. The closing credits are cool though, not just because of the witty animation but because it’s, you know, “The End”. I won’t be sleeping with the lights on.

I have watched the first three movies. Great Trilogy. Now I just found out that part 4 has just been released I can't wait to see it!

The movie is very good and scary until it reaches the last 20 minutes where everything went down hill. It has scary scene that we haven't seen in quite a while. The best of the series so far!
6.5 out of 10.

Chapter 3 is like version 1.5 of the insidious collection. It is between the first chapter and second chapter. If you haven't watched the first or second, don't watch this until you have.

Not as good as the first two in this series, but still holds a lot of suspense and scares. Nice performances and it gives you little more information on the previous movies as this is a prequel those features.

Waste of time! I kept on waiting for something scary to happen.......Was a snorefest. The first movie was the best and most creepy.
