SummaryAdd a Summary
Deeds of derring-do and bravery are performed in this book not by human knights, but by rodents - specifically, rats.
Using inventive, witty wording, author Josh Lieb reimagines the traditional King Arthur story as set in the legendary world of Avalon ("Ravalon"). Ravalon is the underworld of rodents, where ragick (magic) is practised by ragicians (magicians). One of the ragicians changes a human boy into a rat charged with helping the kingdom.
The boy is Joey, who has just moved to the city with his mom when he encounters Gondorff, a rat.
Fans of Brian Jacques' fantasy series ("Mossflower") would very likely enjoy this clever, entertaining chapter book.
