If there's a more appropriately named book, I don't know it. The frogs in this book are indeed a powerful testament to life's diversity and weirdness. It's been a while since I had the book in front of me, but I remember the commentary as being solid, but not outstanding- I would like a little more good scientific explanation for the weirdness of these frogs. That said, the commentary was not terrible. Just not quite up to the measure the marvelous frogs it contains deserve.

This is a great series (I've read the bird one too) with amazing photography. Short descriptions with each frog suitable for kids aged 4 - 8.
