The first episode's introduction to Tom Baker's Doctor is wonderfully nutty, while the rest is basically a 3rd Doctor UNIT story - albeit one that morphs weirdly into "King Kong", for no apparent reason except to establish once and for all that the Brigadier, poor man, can do nothing right without the Doctor's help. I do like Hilda Winters, who is a top-notch villain (except for her Nazi-like SRS harangue). All in all, this isn't one of my favorite Classic Who stories, but it's good, and I have to say that Tom Baker has one of the most contagious smiles I have ever seen.

Amazing introduction to Tom Baker's 4th Doctor. The K-1 robot is very underrated, as well as this story, I say that it is the 2nd best season 12 story. (Number 1 being "Genesis Of The Daleks")

Robot is the first story to feature Tom Baker as the Doctor and it's a blast. Fast-paced, semi-decent special effects and an okay plot. Tom Baker steals the show and Jon Pertwee is left in the dust. A must for any Doctor Who fan and especially fans of Tom Baker's Doctor.
