One of bergman's earliest works and masterpiece, "Summer Interlude" tells a tale of lost love through a simple and soothing film style. Compare to His more known works such as "Persona" or "the Seventh Seal", this film is far less 'philosophical'; though it does explore one's struggle with the past which Bergman believes is inescapable.
